Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian/American media critic, is also a speaking event organizer. Feminist Frequency was established by Sarkeesian. It hosts video clips featuring commentary and analysis of the representations of women that are prevalent in contemporary culture. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American blogger and media critic who has won awards for her work, is an activist blogger. Feminist Frequency, a website to educate women about their roles in pop culture narratives It is the brainchild of Anita Sarkeesian. Additionally, she serves as the executive director. Alongside working to highlight the problems surrounding the targeted and sexist assaults on women and as well as other minorities, she is determined to break down the stigmas and stereotypes in the pop culture. Sarkeesian, who holds a Master's in Social and Political Thought in the field of social and political thought from York University, is a popular public speaker. She has given speeches at TEDxWomen XOXO festival and United Nations Broadband Working Group to Gender. She has been interested in gender issues and feminism since a young time. In 2009, while in university, she created the Feminist Frequency site. The ambitious lady planned to launch a web series examining the gender roles in video games and was the subject of a harassment online campaign. The harassment didn't discourage her. It only strengthened her as a journalist who is feminist. In recognition of the many achievements she's made for feministism, she's the recipient of numerous awards. Anita Sarkeesian, a media critic, has been awarded numerous awards and created Feminist Frequency which is an educational non-profit that examines how women are represented in media narratives.
