Her career began as a singer following her move to Minneapolis, where she was introduced to Prince who was the producer of her self-titled debut studio album which debuted in 1993. Electra started modeling in 1996 with appearances in Playboy magazine. After that, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she made her mark as Lani McKenzie on the action drama series Baywatch (1997-1998).In 1997, Electra hosted the MTV dating show Singled Out and made her film debut on the comedy horror American Vampire. In 2004, she appeared in the reality show 'Til Death' Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave along with her husband of the time Dave Navarro, and voiced Six in the animated show Tripping the Rift. Electra received recognition for her role in parody movies, including Scary Movie (2000), Scary Movie 4 (2006), Date Movie (2006), Epic Movie (2007), Meet the Spartans (2008) as well as Disaster Movie (2008). Some of her other credits include Get Over It (2001).
